Breaking! These new rules comes into effect on August, 2023

These new rules will come into effect on August, 2023

1. Effective from August 1st, the "Notice on the Implementation of Personal Income Tax Preferential Policies for Commercial Health Insurance Products" will be enforced.

It clearly outlines the expansion of commercial health insurance products eligible for personal income tax preferential policies, including medical insurance, long-term care insurance, and disease insurance.

The notice also highlights the addition of coverage benefits and enhanced flexibility.

2. Starting from August 1st,
the "Regulations on the Management of Human Resource Service Agencies" will come into effect.

These regulations specify that
human resource service agencies, when entrusted by employers to recruit personnel, must ensure that the recruitment information they release is truthful and legal. Discriminatory content based on ethnicity, race, gender, religion, and other factors is strictly prohibited.

3. Commencing from August 15th, the "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" will be implemented.

These measures emphasize the importance of respecting the legitimate rights and interests of others when providing and using generative artificial intelligence services.

They prohibit any actions that may harm the mental and physical well-being of others or infringe upon their rights to portrait, reputation, honor, privacy, and personal information.

4. From August 1st, the "Regulations on Fire Safety Management in Elderly Care Institutions"will be put into effect.

These regulations stipulate that elderly care institutions should be located within legally constructed buildings.

If multiple units share the same building, fire separation measures must be implemented. Additionally, these institutions are required to establish a 24-hour duty system.

5. Starting from August 1st,the Sichuan Province Public Security Bureau will fully implement the "Inter-Provincial Handling" service for newborns across the entire province.

Residents with non-local household registrations who meet the criteria can apply for household registration for their newborns at the local public security authority in their place of residence, eliminating the need for multiple trips between their actual place of residence and the registration location.

6."Measures for the Management of Disposable Products Catalog in Chongqing" to be Implemented from August 1st

These measures require the catering and tourism accommodation industries in Chongqing not to actively provide disposable products.

Instead, they encourage the use of environmentally friendly products that are easily degradable or recyclable. Food delivery platforms are also encouraged to guide consumers in reducing the use of disposable items.

7."Xiamen Economic Special Zone Zebra Crossing Traffic Safety Management Regulations" to be Enforced from August 1st

This is the first local regulation in China specifically addressing zebra crossing traffic safety management.

The regulations state that pedestrians should cross the zebra crossing promptly without sitting, lying down, lingering, playing, browsing electronic devices, or engaging in any other activities that may affect traffic safety. Violators impeding the legal passage of vehicles may face warnings or fines of fifty yuan.
